How are they packed? The bouquet stems are wrapped in a water absorbing material that has been soaked and placed in a secured bag. All bouquets are wrapped and presented in our signature wrapping and finished with tails of ribbon and our custom complimentary calligraphy style greeting card.
All vase arrangements are delivered with the arrangement placed in the vase with water. The vase arrangement is then finished with tails of ribbon and our custom complimentary calligraphy style greeting card.

PLACING YOUR ORDER
Are flowers toxic for pets? Whilst we take every care to ensure our flower selection is pet safe, there may be some flowers that are not best for your pets. You should always place your flowers and plants out of reach of your four-legged friends.
Can I send flowers as a corporate gift? Businesses love receiving flowers & gifts from clients and other businesses. Flowers are a great token of appreciation, the best way to say thank you or to acknowledge someone who has provided a product or service that has exceeded your expectation.
Can I choose which flowers are in my order? Flowers are a beautiful natural product that relies on the elements of Mother Nature and the constantly changing climates, seasons and supply and demand. We travel to the flower markets and have flowers delivered to our store from our network of trusted growers at least three times a week and sometimes more. We don’t guarantee particular flower types unless they have been pre-ordered or specifically requested so we can source them for your order. Floristry is a creative form and we pride ourselves on the fact that no bouquet is ever the same and whilst our natural garden design style is the same, our use of product is ever changing.
Can I edit my order? Our website does not allow editing of your order once it has been submitted. If you need to edit any details of your order for delivery, please call us before 11am so we can accommodate any requests to amend your order before it is delivered. If your order is for a store pick up, please call the store as soon as possible so we can change your order.
Can I cancel my order? We understand that things happen and you may need to cancel your order. Any cancellations of orders requires 24 hours notice. Refunds may take up to ten business days to process.
FLOWER CARE
How do I care for my flowers? Your flowers will either arrive in our beautiful wrapping and signature ribbon tails or in a vase. If your bouquet is wrapped, we recommend you select your vase and fill it with water – at least half filled! We then recommend you remove all wrapping from the flowers as the wrapping can encourage condensation (and therefore deterioration) and carefully taking the wet wrap off the bottom of the stems. It’s always advised to cut the stems – at least 2cm and on an angle – before placing the bouquet in your prepared vase. Good practice is to change the water every 2 days and each time the water is changed you also cut the stems of the bouquet – always at least 2cm and on an angle.
If you are the lucky recipient of a vase arrangement, you simply need to change the water every two days and cut the bottom of the stems as instructed above. Flowers should always be placed in an area where they will not receive direct sunlight and away from adverse temperatures such as air conditioning or heating.
What should I do if my flowers look droopy on arrival? Oh no! Whilst every care is taken to avoid this, Mother Nature sometimes has other ideas and that’s the challenge of working with perishable product especially during the warmer months and extreme weather we face in Australia. It’s recommended you follow the care instructions as outlined above – flowers will tend to revive once they’ve had a good trim and in a vase of fresh water. If it has been 24 hours since you’ve received your flowers please give us a call so we can troubleshoot with you.
My flowers look different to the photos on the website? As stated on our website, the images are samples only of our work and design style and are not what you will receive in your floral bouquet or arrangement We work with Mother Nature and seasonal flowers and simply put – no flowers are guaranteed. We work with colour palettes to create at that particular point in time so we can celebrate and embrace the seasons best on offer for you to enjoy.
My roses look sad. No one likes a sad rose! Sometimes the stems get what we call airlock which makes them appear droopy especially if they have been out of water. We always recommend giving the flowers a deep cut upon receiving and putting them in a vase with lots of water.
Hot weather tips. The Australian Summer can be extreme in temperature and while every care is taken to prepare your flowers and have them delivered, the heat can affect the life of flowers. Place flowers in a clean vase, re-cut stems properly, change the water every two days and keep the flowers cool avoiding direct sunlight, hot rooms, windows, household appliances and air conditioning vents. Be sure to remove foliage below the waterline as this will help in reducing the growth of bacteria.
My flowers haven't revived... If your flowers have not revived after following the recommended care steps, it is usually a sign they have experienced heat stress, dehydration during transit, or have reached the end of their natural vase life.
Please send through clear photos of the arrangement along with your order details within 24 hours of receiving your flowers so our team can assess the issue. We genuinely want your flowers to be enjoyed at their best and will always do our best to help where possible.
As flowers are a natural product, variations in longevity between varieties and environmental conditions can occur - particularly during the Australian summer months.
It's so hot outside, will my flowers survive? We take great care to ensure your flowers are conditioned, hydrated and prepared appropriately before leaving the store. While extreme heat can naturally affect flower longevity, we carefully select and work with varieties best suited to the season wherever possible.
We recommend bringing flowers indoors as soon as possible after delivery and keeping them away from direct sunlight, hot cars, outdoor entertaining areas and air-conditioning vents. Fresh cool water and regular stem trims will also help maximise vase life during warmer weather.
Please keep in mind flowers are a natural product and some delicate varieties can be more sensitive to heat than others, particularly during summer heatwaves.
How are your flowers packaged and is it recyclable? We are continually mindful of the materials we use and aim to keep our packaging as environmentally considerate as possible without compromising the safe transport and presentation of your flowers.
Our wet wraps are compostable, with the exception of the rubber bands used to secure them. We use a coated paper wrap to help protect bouquets from water damage during transport and delivery, particularly in warmer weather. All ribbons used are fabric ribbons rather than plastic-based alternatives.
We prefer to use glass or ceramic vases for arrangements as opposed to box arrangements with wet foam as this is better for the environment.
As florists, balancing sustainability with flower care and safe delivery is something we are always working thoughtfully towards, and we continue to explore more environmentally responsible packaging options wherever possible.
How long do the flowers last? Flower longevity can vary greatly depending on the varieties used, the season and the environment they are kept in. On average, most fresh flowers will last approximately 5–10 days with proper care. Some flowers are naturally more delicate and short-lived, while others may continue looking beautiful for well over a week. Temperature also plays a significant role, particularly during the Australian summer months.
To maximise vase life, we recommend:
Changing the water regularly
Re-cutting stems every few days
Keeping flowers out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources
Removing any ageing flowers or foliage as needed
As flowers are a natural product, variation is part of their beauty and no two varieties perform exactly the same.
The recipient won’t be in to receive the flowers and so they won’t be put into water straight away. Will this be a problem? Flowers do always appreciate being placed into fresh water as soon as possible after delivery, however they will generally be perfectly fine for a short period of time if the recipient is not immediately home or available.
All bouquets are carefully hydrated and wrapped before leaving the store to help protect them during transit and delivery. Longevity can depend on the weather conditions and how long the flowers are left unattended, particularly during warmer Australian summer days.
We recommend placing flowers into clean water as soon as possible once received and following our care instructions to maximise vase life.
How do you protect the flowers on their journey? Every bouquet is carefully prepared, hydrated and packaged to help protect the flowers throughout their journey. Stems are wrapped with a water source to keep flowers hydrated during transit, and bouquets are securely wrapped to minimise movement and protect delicate blooms. We also take seasonal conditions into consideration, particularly during the Australian summer months, and select packaging materials designed to help flowers travel as safely as possible.
While flowers are naturally delicate and can still be affected by extreme temperatures or extended periods unattended, we make every effort to ensure your flowers arrive looking fresh, beautiful and in the best possible condition.
